What is Universal Design for Learning?
Universal Design for Learning is a structured framework that provides a blueprint that guides educators in creating instructional goals, methods, materials, and assessments that work for everyone - not a single, one-size-fits-all solution but rather flexible approaches that can be customized and adjusted for individual needs. UDL is a set of principles for curriculum development that give all individuals equal opportunities to learn.
Universal Design for Learning (UDL) is research-based, and uses the following neural networks to explain the what, how and why of learning. Research shows that people with deficits within any of the area(s) will require certain alternatives to the learning process.
